The British-Canadian artist has sold more than 50 million records over the past quarter-century, with three multiplatinum albums and a number of No. 1 hits. A couple of years ago, Adams celebrated 25 years as a recording artist with the release of his Anthology, 36 songs from his beginnings in 1980.
Even as a 48-year-old weirdly enough, he shares a birthday (Nov. 5) with Ryan Adams, the alt-country singer-songwriter from Jacksonville, N.C. with a two-disc best-of, Adams hasnt settled into semiretirement: A new album, I Thought Id Seen Everything, is due out in March; the first song, 11, debuted online Jan. 25. 'Kids bombarded by unsuitable web ads'
A report looking at 40 websites popular with children has found that users were exposed to more than 200 ads, with many commercial messages promoting products unsuitable for children, such as gambling and dating. The study, called Fair Game?, assessed commercial activity on children's favourite websites, including Cartoon Network, CBeebies, Neopets, YouTube, Bebo, MySpace, eBay and Lime Wire. eBay: one of the sites most popular with children. Because many of the websites popular with children are actually targeted at older groups - including many social networking and gaming websites - some of the ads were found to be unsuitable for young web surfers.

Yes, I think there should be more regulations on snowmobile safety, it's still driving. --Thank you, Sherrie Sullivan Snowmobiling is not safe, it is just like a motor cycle, car, truck etc., There needs to be precautions, are there training classes like we take to get a license for a car? --Theresa UjekI think most DEFINITELY there needs to be more done in regards to snowmobile safety and boating safety. I think it is somewhat a given that while these are "recreational" sports there does not seem to be a real concern for ENFORCING safety. There needs to be more education on the various aspects and elements that affect the handling of either a snowmobile or boat - in both cases it is not just the alcohol factor - it is having signs clearly posted - it is having authority out there - it is following speed limits - I obviously do not have all the answers but know that drinking is clearly attached to both of these recreational activities.
Of course children don't need fathers
Again, jolly nice for the kids lucky enough to get full-beam attention. But to turn nice into necessary requires a denial of history as well as of geography — there are still many parts of the world where the bearing and raising of children is entirely the province of women — and, indeed, of nature itself: for every male swan, happy to embrace monogamy and even to squat on a clutch of spring eggs, there is a bull to inseminate a promiscuous dozen, unable to care less for the resulting progeny. Yet both species, rather like our own, seem to truck along quite nicely. Among opponents to this hot-potato Bill there is a less shrill cabal of those who agree that, as long as adequate provision is made for the physical nurture of children, and as long as there are sufficiently committed female parents, the routine presence of a man might not be important; nevertheless, they say, children should have a "right" at least to know who their genetic father is.

Hollywood writers who walked off the job this week are wasting their time in a "stupid" strike, former Walt Disney Co Chief Executive Michael Eisner said.
